This is the necessary FACQ page where hopefully you’ll find answers to the questions that have been eating away at that big beautiful curly brain of yours.
What is the best way to contact you?
Email for all inquiries at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I book an appointment?
New Clients, please read through the FACQs and the New Client Curl Experience information. After sending your client intake answers, and photos, we may then schedule your appointment via email.
Returning curl lovers, please email me if we have not already prebooked your appointment.
How should I prepare for my appointments as a new or returning client?
Please see Services menu
What type of curls are welcome ?
All curls are treated equally with love and hydration at Laura McGraw Hair Studio. I enjoy working with all types of texture from swavy/ wavy to the tightest little precious coils.
Can I wear a curly haircut straight?
As a curl advocate, my main focus in the studio is teaching women how to make healthier choices for their curls by showing curl encouraging techniques, choosing healthier products and giving you a haircut that is designed for hair that is worn curly. Therefore, this method of hair cutting is not guaranteed on hair when it is worn straight.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I offer the convenience of credit cards, cash or Venmo as payment for products and services.
May I book a color appointment with my haircut?
I'm no longer accepting hair color clients as I am phasing out all chemical services in order to focus on curl cutting.
I’m more wavy than curly really, is this type of haircutting for me?
Totally! A Laura McGraw Signature Curvature haircut would be perfect for you! This is a dry, wave by wave haircut that encourages waves to really bump and swerve.
Are the products used during my appointment available for purchase at your studio?
Yes ma’am. My favorite curl friendly products are Innersense Organic Beauty, NYC Curls and Deva Curl.
Can you help me with transitioning to my natural curls?
Kudos for making the decision to embrace your God given natural beauty!! I'd be honored to assist you in your transition to your curl journey. I’m thrilled for you. Whether you are growing out from relaxers, keratin smoothing, or heat damage we will discuss your goals for your hair and decide together how much (big chop?) if any, should be removed. For those of you in the infancy of your transition, I would suggest reading “The Science of Transitioning”by Audrey Davis-Sivasothy.
